Since HP sell many different varity of laptop of the same model here are my specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon II Dual Core P320 2.1Ghz
Ram: 4GB
Graphics: Delicated ATI Mobility Radeon 5430 (512mb) !!
Disabled Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon 4250

The difference between this laptop & the MSI one...

(+) Price $539 lower priced
(-) CPU now 2.1Ghz
(+) Ram now 4GB
(+) Delicated graphics card
(+) Altec Lansing Speakers
(-) No eSATA Ports
(-) No Express Port
(+) Better more typeable keyboard
(+) DVD writer with lightscribe
(+) better built quality

Hmm.. so did i upgrade or downgrade?

In terms of hardware and expandability, MSI seems to be stronger, with all the features at this price, but in terms of user friendly and overall experience using the laptop.. HP is way much better :)

My future plans for this laptop will be:

The screen is wonderful, very bright. I have no complains.

The keyboard has a nice feel is nice to type on. However, one need to get used to it as there is an extra column of keys beside the left most keys e.g. Tab, Caps lock, Shift, Ctrl, which are normally the first left keys on a a keyboard

Touch pad
The touch pad is integrated to the chasis and is very smooth, but there are no borders on the left and right side
of the touchpad. This does not bother me at all.

The speakers are loud and clear and are Altec Lansing speakers. Excellent!

The LEDs are at the side and it is great. No more staring into blinking LEDs any more

Graphic Card
This laptop is one of the few in the CQ62 series to feature both a shared graphics card and a discrete graphics card.
There is an ability to choose to use the discrete graphics card to play graphics intensive games and to use the built in graphics card to save battery.
